Senior-Cobs

Description

The Senior-Cobs is the ideal basic feed for senior horses.

If a horse is missing teeth or has other dental problems, it is often difficult to take in fiber-rich feed such as hay, grass or straw. A sufficient intake of roughage is essential for a healthy digestion. Weight loss and reduced vitality are the first signs of a shortage of digestible crude fiber. The extra feeding of concentrates can in no way replace the roughage, too high a dosage of concentrates causes even more health problems.

The Senior-Cobs can be pulped in a short time of 20 minutes with warm water and thus provide a healthy supplement for horses of age.

Nutritional advice

As a hay substitute for older horses:

• Daily: 0.5 to 1.0 kg Senior-Cobs per 100 kg body weight

As a supplement to hay:

• Depending on the amount of hay that is fed daily, 1 to 2 kg of Senior-Cobs as a supplement per day

Soak the Senior-Cobs per kg with 2-3 liters of warm water for 20 minutes
